As above, any recommendations?
Continental GP 4 Season are the best compromise between weight, speed, grip and puncture resistance that I've found.
+1 GP4Seasons
Schwalbe Marathons are very tough but heavy too, so you really have to not like punctures to run them.
There's also Hutch Intensive tubeless for a leftfield choice but they aren't cheap.
i'm using schwalbe durano's on one bike at the mo,
they seem very tough.
Schwalbe Marathon Plus - has a reflective aound the bead which works very well. Tyres are bombproof too. Yes they are heavy(ish) but just think of the extra training you'll get ๐
Durano Plus here.. Heavy for a road tyre at 340grams in 23cc.
9 months on my commuter and training wheels. 4000miles and no puntures. Rear tyre only just worn out to...
I've been using Conti Gatorskins. No idea of weight etc. - they are much lighter than my MTB tyres if that's a help...
Anyway - I used to get loads of punctures and now get none. They are a bit sketchy in wet or ice though - was getting wheelspin uphill last weekend. Eeek.
Set (high) and check your pressures before every single ride.
I've had 1 or 2 punctures in something like 4000 miles on Michelin Krylion carbons, and a fair amount of that was commuting on Nottingham's mean glass strewn streets. Great tyres when you can get them.
Michelin Krylion Carbons here. Admittedly never tried the Conti GP 4 seasons but never felt the need.
gatorskins are squeaky in the wet a 4season has much better grip and ride quality, worth the extra imho

Panaracer Ribmo - zero punctures, several thousand miles, reasonable weight, good choice of sizes. I think they are ace.
