[Closed] Pump Valve Head (presta not working

i've got an "SKS multivalve head" (lockdown lever and presta and schrader holes) fit on a compressor tyre inflator , for tubeless setup of presta valves.

for some reason when i fit it to a presta valve and lock the lever down, air is coming out the schrader hole, and nothing into the presta.

do these break , easily? user error.
can anyone recommend a presta only head unit, as i dont need a schrader one.

doing my nut in. trying to seat a gravelking, without an inner tube

Is something blocked up with sealant?

I've had that and it was the head itself needing a wee clean as the 'splitter' that goes between the 2 valves hadn't moved across to seal the other hole...

thanks guys, think you've both hit the nail on the head,
i'll unscrew it and have a look, yes i guess sealant will have got in.

lunch time job to inflate a tyre, half an hour later i thought i best get back to work

I’ve got that head and that problem, Google says that head has got “form” it works best when there’s some back pressure (ie air in the tyre!) clean it out and be hopeful, otherwise push down on the head when you start pumping until there’s a bit of air in the tyre. I have to start the Airshot off with a small portable pump before the track pump with that head will work. Annoying

I have this and its as dicky says - you need a little back pressure to make the auto valve thingy work.  Just push on the valve thru the tyre to create the back pressure and off you go

To avoid sealant spurting up into the valve head or pressure gauge, I always clear the valve first with a couple of taps on the unscrewed presta with my finger - sometimes a splat of sealant comes out so I give it a couple more bursts until it's just air escaping.

I had this.
Tried everything.
Bought a decathlon valve, all fine.

I took the sks head apart no sealant seems to be blocking it although I’ll soak it and then air compressor it to see if it’s hidden

New head time
