A very specific one but this just popped up on my facebook, 4 nights in a glentress forest lodge for cheap, just before christmas. Thought it might do someone on here for a quick riding break.

I’ve run Maxx-D lights for 17 years since the first 960 lumen one and never had a mount fail

The little pivot pin on the clamp used to be a weak spot but they improved that design a few years ago

The only time I’ve seen the clamp fail is when my very tired riding buddy picked his e-bike up with the light instead of the bar and snapped the cleat

I do use a bit of loctite on the cleat bolt

I've a exposure six pack that ive ridden for years with no problems. The mount is much better than those ive had on every other light. They are great, well made reliable lights.

The reason its circular is probably to aid cooling. They can CNC machine radial grooves more easily to substantially increase the surface area. A cool light will run more efficiently and be more reliable.

Wondered if that might suit the wife, but that's quite a large size large according to the geometry chart

Might make a nice stocking filler - for some reason Josh Brolin's autobiog is under £3 in hardback on Amazon. (as of 8/12/25 it is anyway)

I bought it to treat ..me!  🙂

I was in there the other week looking at a non e-bike purchase and the lad serving me said he’d just bought one of those….given the choices he could possibly make (that’s a shop with a lot of choice after all!), that must mean something about the spec and value on those Norcos…..

That Norco looks a steal. Reviews suggest just the tyres and brakes could benefit from an upgrade, which is fairly easy and cheap enough.

Quick Google suggests that the Norcos are PowerMore ready?

That Norco does look a great deal. If I didn't already have a similar e-bike then I'd be very tempted.

There's a lower spec model in S and SL at £2.5k although the saving over RRP isn't as good. But a decent e-bike with a good motor/battery for £2.5k can't be sniffed at. And the originally-£10k high spec version is £3.5k but only in XL.

Very tempted by that Norco but suspect the 400wh battery just won't cut it for a rider who weighs 115kg kitted up. Shame as incredible value to be had!

https://nordestcycles.com/en/product/sardinha-2-frame

on sale and a bit of a bargain at €399, plus €80 shipping to the non EU UK...

geometry looks decent, weight is sturdy, but it's designed for lugging stuff about on adventures.

On BUY Fox shorts turned up.

Now I've still no way of 100% telling if they are "legit"

But comparing them directly alongside my old genuine Fox Defend shorts they are exactly the same design, right down to stitching, logos, print, labels vents, zips, pocket linings, waist gripper and ratchet fasteners. manufacturer/washing directions label.retail tags and fox branded bag, And also exactly the same fit/sizing.

the only difference between them is the material which you'd expect given the Defend model cost more and uses a heavier DWR coated fabric and these are the lighter stretchier non coated flexair fabric

Thinking about it. All that does seem an awful lot of work for those nasty Chinese counterfeiters to force the poor children making them to go to.

Any idea how long that code will work for?

If you have a PayPal account you can get Perplexity Pro (AI) free for a year:

https://www.perplexity.ai/join/p/paypal-subscription

After that it's $20 per month, but you cancel before then to avoid that. Yes, you probably sell your soul in data etc, but it's pretty decent. I use it for work (it's good for scientific research), but I've just asked it "Burgtec RideWide DH vs dmr odub for downhill mtb" and it gave an excellent response. You currently get GPT-5.2, Claude Sonnet 4.5 and Gemini 3 Pro amongst the models available. Offer ends December 31.

Having ordered a set of pedals on 1st of December which were finally dispatched on the tenth with no communication from them, you might want to check if they actually have them in stock should you need them in a pinch.
