Aaand the Argotals from Banana aren't enduro soft. They're trail endurance. And going back

Ordered 3 of these which arrived today (via  parcel forwarding service from UK). The packing slip says Enduro soft, there aren't any labels with the tyres and I can't see any markings on the Tyre to indicate if they're Trail endurance or Enduro soft. Is there any way I identify which I have? Won't be going back but might determine if they go on the front or rear wheel.    Thanks in advance for any help.

You have to decipher the heiroglyphics on the sidewall.

If you have a look at the below link, at the bottom of the page theres a table that shows the symbols for trail/enduro etc

Robinsons Squash (currently £1.25 in Sainsburys) also currently comes with a £5 Halfords voucher, you need to keep the supermarket receipt though and there's some online hoops to jump through.

Having bought that Pro 4 rear hub from Stif to pair with my budget Hope front hub the other week, I've just got it in my hands and realised it comes with a freehub for HOPE cassettes. Bit of a long shot, but does anyone fancy swapping their HG driver for a brand new HOPE one? It'll also come with the 12mm end cap as I believe that is also unique if I read the diagram correctly. Cheers

Most of the current stock in the Orange sale has had the discount increased including 70% off the 5 Evo and 65% the Switch 6 frames. How much does a new Fox Factory shock cost?

Still haven't dished up the Switch or Stage 7 XL discount I'm waiting for though!

That Phase Evo with the SX motor might have been perfect, but the lack of mounting for a range extender does limit things.  Also, I’d need a large.

Just spotted the new Voodoo Zobop on sale at Halfords til tomorrow, they also have the Pro version which has a Lyrik, Deore etc. Both seem like good value to me and the geo looks decent too. If my Cycle2Work voucher magically gets approved by HR tomorrow I'm almost tempted to put it on this instead of the road bike I was looking at 🙂

Very nice it is too, my son's just bought one and already ridden the King Alfred's Way on it.

Note though that (I assume anyway) it is a last season's model - the newer full price blue one has attachment points on the forks for instance and there are some minor spec differences like rims and so on.

Had a set of pedals turn up from the Stif sale. They arrived battered in the box, no cleat and wrapped in Stif branded parcel tape. Called up and then the bloke in the Bristol store tried to tell me eggbeaters don't come with cleats....... great!

Yeah tried the Gore sign up.  Couple hours later still no email with discount code. Wondering about the size guide is L really 32?  That’s a small L.

@mudfish I had to send medium back the Large are 34" waist if that helps. Size chart isnt very clear. I never received the discount email either but I'm happy with £28 as they are a decent bit of kit . But my invoice shows £23.80 so until the credit card bill arrives I'll assume I paid £28

Gore stuff sizes up small. Would recommend ordering one size larger than the size chart says if you are between sizes.

Thanks Devash and Oldfart, Yeah their sizing seems strange, amazing they cant get it right - amazingly oldfart said his L is 34 waist and their site says 32.35 - XL says 34.75"

I'm about 33 unless on the pies so I ordered L and XL. We'll see.

I'm really hoping their quoted Inseam length 34 cm / 13.4 inches is accurate, as I'm not a fan of short shorts!

Discount code:-
I ordered a couple of days ago, also signing up for the 15% off, hoping to save as someone mentioned it, but the discount code didn’t arrive til today!

Anyhow, their support desk said such codes don't work on already reduced items.

Now I'm hoping it doesn’t cost me a fortune to return the unnecessary size.

a happy trails

@mudfish I'm a smidge under 6ft the length is perfect , middle of kneecap 👍

Also returns are free  you just have to print off and sign 3 customs forms for which there's an envelope to stick on the outside of the packet . Just be careful opening them and you can re use the packet 👍

Following on from the kitchen knives thread this is a bargain even at the rrp of £49 (compared to their shorter paring knife at 89).  Even more at 36

it’s slightly thinner than the euro knives and doesn’t have the same bolster, but that the style

Thanks @oldfart, good to know, and thanks for the recommendation, the price IS good - My legs are long uns, but if the quoted Inseam length 34 cm / 13.4 is good that’s great as no one likes a kneepad gap.

Free returns, that’s great. It never ceases to amaze me how poor sizing labels are nowadays. You'd think an outfit like Gore could get the waist measurement guide right!  M is quoted at 32.35 and you measured as 34! It would save them a few returns to process

Shirley a cafe like this in such a scenic spot makes a killing?!

Living accommodation

Car park

Offers over 750k

Price not bad on face of it for all above.

Top of a windswept hill, only busy for 40 or so days a year, not big enough to accomodate coach parties, too far to walk to Llangollen for the pubs/restaurants there. Nothing to do locally without driving, apart from walking/cycling. It seems a bit expensvie to me (£750k).

Asgard bike sheds have 15% off until tomorrow.

Been thinking of getting one to free up space in the garage. Are they still well regarded?

Also been wanting one of these sheds... but I've just looked at the 6 bike option, and all of the bars are rotated to the front wheel.. not ideal

Just seen them but deals on Conti tyres from a retailer based in Aberystwyth where Cambrian Tyres the  Conti distributors are based makes a link between the two quite likely.
