Unless things have changed since 10pm last night, all of the north loop and the top section of the south loop are closed. Winter weather has seriously loosened the surface and riding it will cause a lot of damage.
Blue (Quercus) and lower sections of south loop are all that's open.

Proper trails in the area are as fantastic as ever. ๐Ÿ˜‰

Someone usually asks about now!

Any idea what the back of Skiddaw is like, thinking about having a look out that way tomorrow?

The track NE from Skiddaw House is best avoided at present. PITA at the moment. The Whitewater Dash track is OK.

Do you know if it's a long-term thing Boxelder?

Was thinking about a Friday afternoon spin round there in a fortnight as a warm-up for my Lakes weekend.

Long-term?

Depends on the weather. The frost really loosens everything up. It needs to thaw fully then get wet/dry a few times to bed it all back down. Should be OK in a fortnight (Jack Frost permitting)

same @ Mabie(not closed tho). Mates at work had been out running today and reported frost lifting and surface becoming like sludge, happens every yr.
