Watched the women race then fell a sleep just before the mens. I'll watch the mens later and thanks for the link.

The Belgian race was superb - It was on Sporza live so you may find it on their website (might be restricted to Benelux?), but I would assume someone has stuck it up on youtube by now.

I watched the German Nationals on Sunday having raced on the course on Saturday. All I can say that myself and ALL[b] of my friends stood gobsmacked at just how quick the first three riders were (all three of them race in Belgium for Belgian teams). It was like they came from another planet. In the end Marcel Meisen won it by a huge margin of over two minutes!

The young guns are so quick. I saw the Hamme race and the turn of speed in the last two laps was unbelievable.

What fantastic commentary from that US race!

"he's never been a good runner on his feet"

"this is probably the best cross course we've had in the modern times"
"yes, pity we're never coming back" - priceless

I can only hear my laptop during the rest periods between intervals, so goodness knows what I missed!

Philipp Walsleben was 3rd Swedish Chef. He bolted off at the first lap but once Meisen caught him on the second he was putting 30 or more seconds per lap on him. In the end I think Walsleben realised the win wasn't going to happen and backed off.

His standard race plan then!

Stevens must be pissed, they've made a load of custom national champ coloured bikes for him and he's used them in 3 races!

Time to hit ebay.de for a bargain?

I don't think Stevens will be too bothered seeing as the winner was riding one of their bikes and second and third, too! ๐Ÿ™‚
