Seems a good price for carbon bars.
Diameter 31.8 and 800mm wide @ chain reaction.

Are they cheap as now 800mm is shurely too wide for the modern gnarly enduroista?

They come with cutting guides on them, so need need to fear being a stuck in 2019

Good spot. I have some 38mm versions - good bars.

Nice one. The Endura MTR Shell they have on offer is great too, really like mine. Folds down small enough to go in the bottle holder of my bag, and is really breathable too.

Nice, these are good bars, one of the more 'compliant' carbon options too if that interests you.

Almost tempte by another set in higher rise to try too.

Been watching for the price drop on these as I have them on the FS and really like them.
Ordered couple days ago when they started loading their Black Friday discounts and here today just in time for the w/e rides 🙂

Not that it means they are a bad bar but this is the original version not the V2. Still a great price.

The main difference with v2 is 35mm clamp rather than 31.8mm

I've been hoping these would get reduced but I had to find another £100 of stuff to get my BC discount. Wasn't that hard...

V2 is also available in 31.8. Main V2 difference is the offset to allow for more backsweep without losing so much reach.

Good price that, they definitely feel a bit cheap- the classic "look up the tube" test especially- but they're good bars, I've had a set on a couple of bikes and they've been grand especially on the dh bike. Not especially stiff, or soft, just middle barry bars.

Bars arrived today. Very impressed with them. I might need to cut 10mm off each end.

What's the official stw procedure?

Cut them down with an approved carbon fibre saw or use a bread knife?

Mine too, any idea what the included transparent film is for?

@dct1988 I think the silicon film can be used where there may be cable rub perhaps from your control cables. Maybe underneath near the centre/stem?

Chew through it, like a proper man.

(if you've got any old lockon grips, stick one of the locking rings on as a guide, if not then tape a guide, then just chop it off with a hacksaw. Don't breathe the dust. If need be, clean up with a bit of wet and dry. If you were doing it a lot you'd maybe want a carbon-specific blade but there's no requirement)

Thats certainly the difference with the 35mm V2s, less so with the 31.8mm ones

I've had a set of these a good while. Good bars, but main thing to worry about (at least on mine, possibly 38mm rise 800mm 31.8s?) Is that the straight control area isn't that huge.
I cut mine down to 770, and using Deity grips and m6100 levers (with the extra support bracket) the clamp for the brakes is sitting right on the edge of the tapered mid section.

Just received mine - overall good stuff!

However - anybody tried to install any ESI-type grips? They have rough surface at both ends - looks like purposely processed to give the extra grip for grips. I cannot imagine how to force ESI grips to come onto it...

Ive fitted none lock on odi rogues on mine, put 4 zip ties into the grip, slide grip on with zipties between bar and grips, spaced evenly. Once grip is on pull zip ties out. This should work for ESIs.

Yeah, I have ESI racer's edge on mine and used the exact same trick.
