I normally take size 44 shoes, so should I get 45 (to allow for thick/double or waterproof socks)?

Well I'm normally 42 (8 UK) but I have size 44 Celsius boots, they're spacious enough to have thick socks but OK without so maybe 1 size up would be OK.

I normally take 45 in Spesh and was 45 in NW too.

mrs j takes 40 in specialized shoes but needed a size 41 nw celcius just to get her normal socks in, never mind thick ones.

hmmm, i'm usually 44 in Shimondo & Spesh without winter socks so maybe I'll need 2 sizes up. Any other experiences?
