There some frankly silly prices going on over at Merlin

Deore shadow + rear mech £23
XT 10s chain £13.75
SLX double chainset £69.95

I may just stockpile a drivetrain and a rear mech or two at that price

Oh and they also have one for those bikes that can only ride on smooth paved roads in the name of pain suffering and boredom, but who'd want to go and do that.

I would have bought the medium cage mech but I don't want long cage. Still BB chain and cassette all grabbed for £36

I stocked up on a couple of BBs, can't go wrong for £8.50

If the medium cage mechs hadn't of been so much more I would of started gathering 10 speed stuff, ah well, stops me from wasting money.

1x10 SLX/Deore upgrade for £80 with a spare Deore front shifter
Bargain, I can live with a long cage mech at that price

Now cheapest narrow/wide chainring is where?

@ alexdodd

If you have a look on the site they have the Zee shifter (which is windowless) for the same price. You weren't ever going to use the front shifter were you!

Also, SLX cassette and chain bundle for £30 which is only £4 more than the Deore + chain.

SLX Mech, cassette and chain, + Zee shifter - I've just gone 10 speed for £80 😀
Another £20 for the On-One narrow-wide when it comes out, and I'm a happy bunny!

Just spunked 150 quid on a 105 drivetrain minus the cranks, can't be bad.
