Sorry if folks are already aware, but Merlin Cycles seem to have joined CRC, Evans and Wiggle on Top Cashback. For those that don't know, it's an affiliate marketing site that pays a percentage of your total spend back to you when you click through from their site. Other sites are around too but the advantage of TCB over Quidco is that there's no annual fee either.

Where it really pays is the boring stuff - phone contracts, car insurance, utilities etc, but eBay, holiday companies and the like feature it too and you can rack up a big chunk of cash for just spending what you'd normally spend on the web.

For referring new people, they pay a small amount back too, so if you want to get between 2% and 5% back on your bike kit spends - click here, sign up and get on with it. Far better you having the money than some middle man!

Good luck actually getting the cashback though, topcashback "owe" me about £70 so far. I had more success with Quidco.

Nearly £200 in the last year all paid up - often not the cashback site fault if the retailer doesn't pay their bills!

I can confirm that my last Merlin order cashback cleared fine 🙂

It can take a while - sometimes several months to go all the way through the process, but the people at TCB have worked well if there's been a problem to resolve it. It's not guaranteed, and they do stress this, but the £150 the missus got back on her iPhone was well worthwhile - and it's more than 'interesting' looking at the cashback from the bike sites. Ahem.

I've had a fair whack of cash off TCB, some members are much slower than others (CRC and Wiggle seem fast, AA took forever to authenticate) but I've had cash in my pocket, no bother.

Yep, another TCB fan here.

I tend to decide what I'm going to buy then check TCB to see if I can a bit more off, so don't rely on the cash back. I've only been let down a couple of times though and have had well over £100 back.

CRC really slow for me, wiggle pretty quick. Also get a fee for Ebay purchases (40% of the seller fee I think).

The good news is it all adds up (£18 back on the already silly-reduced £450 55RC3Tis at wiggle recently), the bad news is it makes you realise how much youve spent on bike bits (a bit like reviewing your CRC order history, always sobering).

I've have had a few hundred in cashback so far from TCB.

The best earner is the £90 for moving to a T-mobile SIM only contract - it takes 3 months to get the cash but you can then cancel, port the number to another Pay as you go service in month 4 and then move back again to T-Mobile a few days later. Assuming you're usage isn't bonkers, T-Mobile effectively pay you to have a phone on their network.

@ Munge-chick - I just TCB a CRC purchase and I got a authentication within 1 hour! Do you mean the time between purchase and payment?

foxy, yes, CRC seems to take the longest to work along from pending to payable in my limited experience (only been using TCB maybe 6 months).
