Seems a bit of a bargain at £34.
Seem to remember it got an excellent review in MBUK last year.
Be excellent as a backup or secondary light.

Pretty good price, I've only seen them once cheaper than that, got mine for £30 IIRC last year. Very happy with mine to date.

Well worth scouring the sale section and specific item sections for other bargains, a number of items are cheaper than they were ~2 weeks ago eg. "hard" Knuckleballs £34.

would this be suitable for helmet mounting?

Yep, I run mine on my helmet, no problem. Battery needs to be in the top or on the shoulder strap of a back pack though - the lead isn't very long.

the lead isn't very long.

Assuming it's the standard fittings most lights have, you can get extension leads for not much money.

I like mine. Very broad beam. I use it on my road bike to lighten up country lanes (helps avoid potholes and fallen sticks). I imagine you'd possibly prefer something a bit more focussed for a helmet light, but at £34 you can't complain.

Interesting battery pack in that it looks like the batteries are removable.
In which case carrying a couple of extra 18650s wouldn't be hard.

User reviews seem v good but mag reviews less so.

Does anyone know how these compare against the Fluxient U2?

Decent back up light for winter runs or for camping. Very high and wide beam pattern with shortish throw. Not great for use on the road as you blind every oncoming vehicle and pedestrians. Ok for night riding if you are just doddling.

If you point it down, so the main beam focus is ~10 feet max in front of you, it's fine on the road in mode 3 (lowest static intensity) or mode 4 (slow flash), IMO naturally.
