Most of you probably know how to do pretty much everything with a bike however for those that dont I have just picked up a illustrated guide to bike repair and maintenance for £9 at my local Sainsburys. Not sure if this is Nationwide or not.
Good clear pictures and instructions on how to do maintenance tasks for both road and mtb's.
Might be worth a look.
does it have v brakes?, most of the maintenance books you see in cheap outlets have only reached the canti brake/rigid fork stage, let alonf v's discs and suspension forks
yes, it covers:
suspension - tuning, maintenance
v-brakes - tuning, maintenance, pad adjustment, road calipers
discs - hydraulic bleeding, hose shortening and maintenance, cable adjusting, pad changing
plus stuff relating to headsets, BB's, gear ratios, cassettes and so on.
Its probably crap by some standards but Im a complete technical numpty so Im finding it very useful.
no that sounds good actually, a lot more up to date than most
