Just got this from Merlin cycles, it's only £54 (extra £6 off when you add it to your basket)

Various places seem to be listing this under different brand names and I was going to buy it at ~~£70 from CRC (branded x-tools) until I saw it on Merlin. The box says raleigh but there is no branding on the unit itself or the instructions sheet. Quality seems great (although it's early days) and all the moveable bits have quick releases and the tubing is decently chunky. It's also got a lovely shiny golden finish.

Ive been meaning to pick up a work stand for years and at this price I wasn't going to hang around! Especially as I want to do a service on my fork and holding it between your legs while you separate the lowers gets old real fast...

Edit: Doh, looks like its out of stock for the moment 🙁

Looks like the same one: couple of quid cheaper 🙂

Not used Edinburgh bikes before so wouldn't have thought to look there!

Yup, that one's sold under a few different brands. I've had one for several years (from EBC as it happens) and it's very good for the money. Maybe not quite as stable as some but unless you're regularly working on a DH bike or something else very heavy it should cope fine.

got one here too - As MrG says, slightly "bouncy" but it's never dropped a bike for me

I need a new bike stand for home use and it's a toss up between that EBC or one of the ParkPCS-10's, anyone got both/had both and can advise?

Had one of the ones in the OP and sent it back. Too bouncy for me when you can only clamp by the seat post.

I looked at the Park PCS10 as a few exhibitors use them at the Bespoked Bristol show and it is so much more solid and £90 on Amazon
