Nice one, thanks OP

Does anyone know how to use the loyalty points? I have 299 Loyalty points, but can' t see where I can actually do anything with them. Clicking "loyalty" at the top of the screen just takes me to the T&Cs page

Thanks.

Are race matrix the pads of choice......or sintered? Which do people recommend?

Uberbike is worse than superstar with discounts - there is always a sale of some kind on.

Pads are good though, ordered.

They don't do pick n mix like superstar do they?

I'd fancy a mix of Shimano and Sram pads.

Anyone used their GXP bottom brackets? Any good?

The bottom brackets are fine but the plastic top hat washers must be treated with care and replacements are pricey for what they are.

And what does Rubber_Buccaneer care about pricey goods, when he has so much to stick on the classifieds? 😆

Uberbike headsets: use one of those "special" headset to mount a 1 1/8 - 1 1/2 tapered fork into a 44 mm old style headtube (originally made for 1 1/8 straight fork steering tubes).

At least three companies make these special headsets for those applications.

Uberbike: lowest price and really, really neat quality. Double seal. Perfect finish. Works great!

Not really sure why other companies ask three times the price for these parts.

When are Uberbike, Superstar and On-One not having a sale? Does anybody buy their stuff anymore at RRP or just wait a week or so until the next 25% off sale - Superstar have another one one now, no pads anymore though, for good apparently.

"Not really sure why other companies ask three times the price for these parts"

- Uberbike buy from the manufacturer and sell directly to you - those other companies buy in / make, then sell to a distributor, then to a shop - more peoples need more profits.

I just wait for the sale to happen and then stock up on consumables.  Just got a few N/W chainrings for £11.99!
