father inlaw had one not so long back and it wasn't so much the physical discomfort after, more the subsequent infection and the hefty course of antibiotics.

Had one three years ago. If I remember correctly was back on the bike within a couple of days. But the antibiotics I had to take to prevent infection, meant that I was supposed to avoid sun exposure.

I don't feel too bad after 24 hours, but I've been warned that a bump "down there" could have me bleeding out of my butt, which I don't fancy.

It did feel a bit like I'd been gang raped for a few hours, but didn't have too many complications.
Fingers crossed for a good result. Do you have to wait long?
