Winning the Climach-X stage at the TransWales. I wasn't sure he had it in him. I felt I was flying it down there last year and i was only about 12th on that, (had some traffic on the way though 😉 ). He's surely got the whole event in the bag now unless something goes terribly wrong.
I remember a certain post on here a while ago about 24 hour racers not being fast and only doing 24 hour races because they can plod along for a long time. 🙂

I believe he's the most rounded rider on the circuit right now.
Basically anything on 2 wheels he's good at.

This guy can ride anything from XC to Marathon, to DH and all in between.
I have so much respect for his ability in all disciplines.
We've had our disagreements online in the past, but once we met and spoke face to face, we became friends.
And I wish Matt all the success he so rightly deserves.
Close friend of mine is his race support/mechanic. Matt works hill little spheres off to get the results he does, as do his wife and ben behind the scenes.
Never a forgone conclusion this year with AJ quicker uphill.. Matt really pulled out all the stops to win 😯
