Hi

Just looking for some advice regards a Production Privee Shan No 5 and their sizing
My friend has seen one but it's a XXL he's about 5ft 11" but prefers a 'larger' bike he rides my XL Oka but finds it a tad small - unusually long arms hence his nickname Me Tickle !!
Any insight would be great
Thanks

Right - I’ve got 2 - a small/med and an XL. I’m 5’7” which is why I went with the s/m as that was recommended by the website. I just found it waaaaay too small. This may be partly because I tend to favour LLS bikes so maybe I’d just got used to bikes being a lot longer. Anyway after persevering for a while and trying different stem setups etc I bit the bullet and bought another frame, this time an XL, but only because they were out of the intermediate sizes. It is a bit too big for me but honestly not that much.

Ironically I’ve now also rebuilt my small one and I now quite like that for more general trail riding.

From what you say he definitely WON’T find it too big, but may need to mess about with saddle/ stems etc to get it just so. Overall I think you need to be at least one size up from where you’d normally go.

It’s a smashing bike though so well worth a look, and you don’t see so many about..

I've got a Shan 27 917 and the Oka and I have to say probably the best hardtails I've ever had ,the geometry of the no 5 does look big though
