Can't find much in the easy of reviews on these so wondered if anyone round here head one.
Ideally looking for something that will take 26" wheels initially but in time could run 27.5. It will be used as a winter trail bike predominately and for messing about so looking for trail rather than full on aggressive like the Shan.
Thoughts and other options welcomed

They seem to need a bit of attention bearings wise .. My bud has needed a couple of BB replacements and a headset - nice frames though ..

Does this bud have a jetwash?
It's not like there's holes in the frame which are not found in other frames. As long as you have a decent headset with good seals and don't jetwash, there is no reason why this would happen on this frame over any other frame.
It's badass...Love it.
As in the thread above, I drilled it for Stealth routing and I think that the lack of that is it's only downfall out of the box.
I run mine with 26" wheels at the moment, but I am switching to 650b in the next couple of weeks.
I have 650b 150mm Revs on it.
I probably would have bought the Shan but this came up at a great price on ebay and so I went for it.
It is brilliant. Had a Transition Transam 26" before and it feels slacker than that. Nice and light, strong as old boots, climbs well, descends well, looks well.
Beautiful quality frame and attention to detail. Replaceable dropouts are burly as hell.
Recommend.
I'm in Warwickshire and ride Shropshire a lot if you fancy a spin. It's a medium sort of size.
Cheers Kayak. I'm not close enough to come and try it but thanks for the offer.
Looked at the Shan but the Oka seems more suited to what it'll get used for.
What's clearance like at the rear. Want to fit something big to take the sting out.
One of my mates has one - replaced her Sync. More confident downhil, still goes up well.
There are tons of options though if you want a hardtail that'll run 26 and 27.5 - you need it to be designed for about 510-530mm A-C height, so basically 120-140mm 27.5 Pike/36 and then it'll work with things like a 140-160mm 26 Revelation/32 or 130-150mm Fox 36. And you'll need the BB drop to be less than 40mm.
If you're too short of A-C length with your 26" fork the bike will be too steep (and the BB will end up even lower). If the bike has too much BB drop you'll keep smacking your pedals on the ground.
The 27.5 Soul will ride nicely with 26" wheels and 140mm forks.

I've got a 26" 2.25 Ardent in mine at the moment. Plenty of room really. About 12mm both sides.
I run 27.5" wheels on mine with Minion SS 2.35" on the rear, there's 8mm clearance either side at the tightest point
It's a great bike, light enough to use at xc races , rowdy enough for uplift days and everything in between
The only duff point is the press fit bb
