Certainly is loud. Good for alerting people that they're in your way but bad for spooking horses IME.

I could hear Kevevs' one some distance away, when we were in Penmachno on Wednesday. In fact, when I stopped, it was the only sound I could hear. They are noisy, but at least I knew he was still moving, rather than lying unconscious and bleeding to death on the trail somewhere.

Mick I think its particularly load on those wheels. Something to do with the long spokes and the rims ๐Ÿ˜† Pack it with grease if too loud!

I like it, if I could make it noisier I would! 'Tis the sound of bikes after all, along with squealing brakes. Embrace the racket!

Cannot stand the racket never used rear hub past XC and just choose other brands. That level of noise is just not neccessary. I have others that engage quicker as well with much less noise. Real shame love the hope stuff but why not a reasonably quiet version as well?

I love it when you hit the first descent and you get the sound of it going faster and faster. It seems to be coaxing me; "I CAN GO FASTER AND LOUDER IF YOU CAN" ๐Ÿ˜€

Loud enough to mean I don't need a bell...which is handy as a bell adds weight...and wind resistance...
