Hi I just picked up a pro 2 evo rear wheel that is set up as QR, I've bought the 135x12 adapters but I can't get the QR adapter off.

Is there a technique? The front just pulled straight out.

Thanks

The QR one is just held in with an o-ring. It should pull off ok, or put it in a vice and wiggle.

The "should" bit doesnt always work though, so a long thin item (maybe a BBQ skewer?) from the opposite side works well. Just be sure where its engaged before the hammer gets involved!

Clamp the steel part in a vice with the wheel horizontal and whack the wheel upwards with your arms.

Am I the only one on here who doesn't own a vice?

Or anywhere to put one?

You'll have to get one eventually!

In the mean time get down to tesco, buy a cheap pack of bbq skewers, it'll take 2 or 3 bent ones to get one side off. Then you can see the other side and use whatevers at hand for the other side.

Cheers pal ill head down now.

A vice is the next thing on the shopping list, well after a house to put it in.
