I need some help from the STW darksiders.
I need to get an christmas present for my brother who is a style obsessed roadie (and part time mtber) with a full carbon Storck bike, etc, etc.
We usually get each other a gift of ~£25 but this year I'm stumped.
Any (sensible) ideas for a biking related gift gratefully received.
Cheers,
P
anything by rapha
+ 1 for Rapha
They've started doing skincare stuff which is "pocket money" for them I guess...

Have a look at www.prendas.co.uk for a retro cap or jersey ?
Shuitt VR may have something too for that money (poor mans Rapha)
a full length mirror! 😉
Embrocation.
Razor blades/veet.1st cat racing licence.Chamois cream.
Thanking you so far. I shall investigate.

Have a look at the roadie overshoes on wiggle
Assos now do skin care as well.
Or just get him a couple of tubs of Assos arse lard.
Give him some endura overshoes and a neon helmt cover.
A nice wicker basket for the front
Something from the Aldi / Lidl bike range.
A cycling book of some kind?
Thanks all. Some more help than others......

Castelli Risvolto Winter Cycling Cap at here http://www.probikekit.com/display.php?code=X0559 and other places. Just bought one, warm looks good and Caestelli is good kit but a little more unusual than Assos and Rapha
Rouleur calendar, or something from their online store?

Discovered yesterday that Rapha's turnover is around £7 million a year. Good on them.
Rapha caps are around the £25 mark.
And very stylish, even if I do say so myself 😉

Exactly what I was going to say, I have one and it's great because you don't get itchy head and it's not the kind of thing you'd normally get yourself
nah, if you're after getting him a book i'd go for either tim krabbe's the rider or paul fournel's need for bike which, for the road inclined i'd go so far as to say are the best cycling books i've ever read.
alternatively laurent fignon's autobiography is excelent. failing those maybe tim hilton's one more k and we're in the showers, a bit niche yes, but still quality if that's what he's into.
me, i'm hoping i'm getting jean bobet's tomorrow, we ride for crimbo
Something by Dhb or lusso?
Just buy the self obsessed roadie a saveloy from the chip shop to stick down his self obsessed lycra for when he's finished mincing on a turbo trainer all winter. 😉
Thanks again.
I assume those cycling caps are designed to be worn without a helmet?

Haze do you reckon? Belgian caps were pretty bulky, and the team images show them worn without a lid.
Lovely job. Thanks again.

enter him into a really hard sportive, Dragon ride or maybe hell of the Ashdown 🙂
Ah confused myself, I thought you meant those thick double knit winter hats not trade caps.
I've still got one of those winter hats from thirty years ago, funny how fashions change.

I have a cheapy Decathlon one, which is worn plenty at this time of year. Does squeeze under a lid (just).
I also have a NOS Raleigh one from the 1970s unearthed by Prendas. 80% wool FTW...!
