i need to find a pair of spec's to be able to ride with, current "ordinary" ones really not that great on either road or MTB so thought i would have a look around for a deceent pair of frames to put my "stop road signs being blurry" lenses in! there are tons of em! so does anyone have any reccomendations of good bikey looking frames at a reasonable cost?
thanks.
i have Rudy Project Ekynox SXs
Use an insert but that means you get to change lens colour. I haven't broken them yet and they get a fair bit of abuse
I;ve got bolle ones. They're like normal sunglasses with an insert/bridge thing behind the "lenses". Work a treat.
I've got some Optilabs ones, dead good
You can get prescription Oakleys depending on what your prescription is, in clear or sunglasses, no need for inserts, the cost is high but they were so much better than anything else I ever tried.... UNTIL.... the laser, and that rocks, riding glasses now only cost me a fiver.
+1 for Oakleys with RX inserts, used others with seperate lenses behind the shield but they're very prone to misting up, more difficult to keep the lenses clean, and the extra weight caused constant slipping down my nose. Also superb back-up from Oakley if you do manage to damage them somehow.
+1 optilabs - very helpful, send out samples to try before buy, quick delivery and no problems for 2 of us. Also replace broken arms due to stacks free of charge.
