has anyone got any advice on what the best/cheapest way is to use my DH goggles with precription lenses? i'm not keen on contact lenses as they dry my eyes out. Was wondering if you can get inserts for oakley goggles etc

I go with my helmet and riding glasses and try on all sorts of goggles. If the goggles fog up (and they do along with your glasses) or dirty and you want to take them off, then you still can see! Thats how I have done it when I raced MX, enduro's and DH.
Even take a helmet and goggles when choosing new specs.

There is a similar need for prescription specs as PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) at some workplaces. Something like the Bolle Tracker are worth looking at
