Hi,
I have a 2006 yeti 575 and there is seems to be some play where the rear shock meets the dogbone link. There is no side to side play when wiggling the rear wheel, but if you lift the seat slightly you can feel something is loose. I've checked the bolts both ends of the dog bone and they are tight. I'm guessing it is the shock bush. Has anyone had a similar problem and can offer some advice?

Yes, it'll be the shock bushings, definitely
I bought some really cheap after advice on here, I'll have to look tomorrow for where I got them.
I've also created a doc on how to change the bearings, which will help if you wanna DIY.
Let me know and I'll email it to you.
Mine is doing the same. I would also be interested get a affordable replacement.

This is an easy fix, the bush pressed into the eye of the shock wears so your LBS which should be able to replace the bush for you or you can buy the parts & tool here,

which is about £50 for parts & tool, or buy the bush & tool from
just done the same and replaced the seals too

They're just standard 08DU08 bushes
available at most bearing factors

Whilst we are on the subject, does anyone know if you can get the four bearings that sit inside the dogbone without buying the whole bearing kit? They are a weird metric-imperial combination.
Also to the OP, you will need the yeti tool to remove said bearings before you can replace the shock bush.

Tbh I think I have some spare ones- not needed after my 575 got nicked. Drop me an email (in profile)
bear in mind the doggone bearings are always a little notchy, mainly because of how they're clamped in the doggone but also because of uneven wear

As far as the dogbone bearings, I hate to say this, but it might be worth contacting Kaesae? He sells the Yeti kit on Ebay.
Aside from that they look like custom bearings and I haven't managed to find them. (or read RicB's post above)

I have the dogbone bearings I have a supplier who can get them,
will dig them out and get the number off the packs
Also as above worth checking the rose/ spherical type bearing on the shock as these tend to go more than the dog bearings,
TF stock them
dog bearings also tend to feel a little rough as normal

Is is worth getting the fox bushing kit at £19.50 or just the DU bushes off ebay for £2.25? will i need new reducers that come in the fox kit?
Its the DU bushings that wear out, so just get the cheapy ones.
