how easy is it to package up and post a regular hard tail - and what does it generally cost?

Go to a bike shop and pick up the packaging of a new bike (cake and forewarning both help)
Take pedals, bars/stem and front wheel off
Bung bike in box with some bubble wrap
Go online to the parcelforce site, bung the details and someone will arrive to pick it up.
I think last time I did it it cost £25

Packaging as per flamejob's post above, but try [url= http://senditnow.com ]senditnow.com[/url]- they use Parcelforce but for some reason are cheaper (I think they charged around £12.99 when I used them a couple of months ago)

I send everything through my LBS's courier and it costs me £7 a time. Cant remember who the courier is though....
