What are peoples experiences? Are the Royal Mail still best- (ie cheapest, with least damage, and quickest) Or are couriers a better option?
3 months into an argument with Royal Mail / Parcel Force regarding a bike they've lost and are refusing to pay out on the extended insurance for. I wouldn't touch them.
I use Interparcel.com now - they give you account prices with all the major courier firms and it normally costs less than £10 to deliver a complete bike via DHL in 48 hours and they'll collect it from you wherever you need.
I've sent frames, forks and other stuff via TNT and had no problems, get the extra liability if you think its worth it though. the online tracking is excellent though.
