Bear with me.
Someone on eBay is selling a used SRAM Rival rear mech 'missing the pinch bolt'. I sent them a message asking if they meant the clamp bolt for the cable. They replied saying that it was the bolt that 'fixes the mech to the frame'. And when I look at the pics that bolt does indeed seem to be missing. Which confuses me as I thought that this was a 'spinner' and you couldn't remove it from the mech. Am I wrong??

Obviously lost it, usually held in by circlips !

Which confuses me as I thought that this was a 'spinner' and you couldn't remove it from the mech.
If something can be attached, it can be removed, as long as you have the right tool for the job.
