As above. It's next weekend in/around Peak District.

Was thinking of Panaracer Rampage 2.35 (front) and Maxxis Highroller 2.10 (out back) which has served me well at trailcentres like Dalby and Winlatter.

Any views? I'll be on a hardtail.

A good all-rounder is what I'd say - there's nothing mega gnarly in the White Peak, but the trails can get very boggy, and the limestone very slippy if its been raining for a while before-hand. If you want to do reasonably well, you'll need something that doesn't drag on the road too much either, as you'll probably need to use the roads a fair bit as the fastest way between check-points.

You'll want something faster/less drag. Crossmarks if dry. I really like Panaracer Cinders in a 1.95 - grippy and pretty fast rolling. It'll be 80% not technical, so forget big grippy tyres.
