[Closed] Please Help with me with Low/High Speed Compression

I have just got some new 2012 Fox 36 Van RC2 Kashimas

But with 26 low compression & 28 high compression clicks I dont know where to start, not even sure I understand it to be honest!!!

Please help!

I have done yes, but its very basic!Is compression meant to be adjusted throughout a ride? Does it need constant fettling?

I do understand the basics, but would like some peoples experiences with it on there bikes if you get what I mean!

Low speed is for stuff like fork dive on braking, bomb holes etc where the suspension compresses more slowly.

High speed is for sudden impacts - hitting square edges, roots, rocks, landing jumps, etc.

Repeat a section of trail that has a mix of elements that will use both and play with the settings. Try full hard and soft for each and see what difference they make. No-one can give you exact settings as it will vary.

yep i think i have got it now, i presume when setting my sag all compression should be turned off?\

No, compression damping settings make no difference to your sag.

And make sure you have the correct spring in for your weight.
