I have a 2012 stumpy evo frame and am running a shimano xt 3x9 with the big ring replaced with a bash guard (so 22t and 32t). I spent ages trying to get hold of the right direct mount front mech a few months ago and ended up with a shimano tripple E type and a mount adapter.
This has never worked correctly - it sits too low and so the chain rubs when using the outer ranges of the casette. The mount adapter adjusts by about 5mm but this is not enough. I'm thinking I may have more luck with a SRAM mech but there are too many options! I guess I need a 3x10 again but which type?

If you change to 2x10 I've got a front mech (x7 I think) and front shifter (x5) that I've recently removed from my 2013 stumpy evo. Only removed as I have changed to 1x10.
