I have just taken my scott fr30 out on its first run and i would like a rear mudguard that is specific to the rear triangle. similar to wjat can be used on the specialized big hits.
it dosnt need to be big, it dosnt need to be small, size isnt an issue.
what do you think?
you can get a pannier mount kit, just tie a plastic bag to the top of it (the basket for the front finishes the look perfectly)

erm why do you need a rear mud guard? if you really must can't you make do with one of those god awful seat post jobs?
because the rear travel may cause the wheel to contact it, and i dont want a stupid looking thing, it needs to be somthing that is efficent all year

there a a 1km long gravel climb / descent to access the trail area and its straight and even so a lot of speed can be had
You thought about trying to make one yourself? Get a sheet of flexy plastic - shape it and then zip tie it on? You could fix it on to the chain stay and seat stay.
I'm dying to get my hands on a VoltageFR, but no stock so waiting till 2011 models. Saw on Pinkbike you've been out on it today - how's it feel? Not expecting it to be the most efficient bike but does it climb OK?

very stable on descent and berms, brakes are still bedding in and the forks are still setting in atm.
i'd like a proper small mudguard tbh, i might ask a mate to make one from carbon fibre as he made a square one for his team synday.

I don't use rear mudguards unless it's absolutely filthy out and I have a long way to go, or a 2 day trip or something... You're gonna get muddy and wet anyway on a bike, what's an extra strip up the back?
Can't offer any other advice on the specific mudguards tho, other than perhaps googling for somethign specific to Scott.

tried wearing clothes when you ride - they are quite effective at stopping tire spray cutting - failing that get a motorcycle roost guard 😉
