Hi,

Some play in my pedals at the crank end. Has anyone got instructions on how to rebuild?

Want to figure out whether to buy kit to rebuild or buy new pedals Shimano Saint look pretty nice and relatively cheap at moment

Cheers

It'll just be the bushings and they're v easy to rebuild. Socket Allen key and an 8mm Allen head bolt to drift the bush out.

I even sell just the bushes if you want some

Cool - Whats the damage on the bushes and which way do they drift out? I guess I will need to take the bearing out as well? in order to drift the bushings out all the way through the pedal or do they come out of the crank side?

Rebuilt mine using the kit from SS (almost half the price of the pedals!).

Pretty easy job - about 10 mins per pedal taking my time, although I did have to buy a new socket that fitted into the pedal.

I pull the bearings out with the head of a spoke, 2 bearings back to back.

I'll have to check if I have any left I bought a load. £4.50 posted off the top of my head.

Cool- bearings seem all fine its just the sideways movement on one of the pedals.

Which way do you knock the bushings out?

Towards the crank arm IIRC

When you say sideways movement- is it sliding back and forth on the axle, or playing front/rear?
