Morning all
Got a hankering for a bit of an all rounder. Looking for frame and forks only, so, anything else I can have a look at?
I want it for pretty much what Planet x describe it as,road mostly, light touring weekends in summer and the odd canal tow path/fireroad.
I want rack and mudguard mounts, and disc brakes.

Also, can you recommend me a wheel rim for above mentioned bike, able to take 35-38mm tyres.

Ta.

Edit, budget is about £800 for frame/fork and new wheels.

Maybe no help whatsoever, but I'm quite liking the look of the DT Swiss XR331 rims. I'd normally use Mavic A719's for this kinda application, but fancy a change on my next build.

Alternative framesets would maybe be something like a Salsa Vaya, or a Genesis Croix-de-Fer (or the slightly tweaked Croix-de-Tour)... Depending on wheel choice, you'll still slip in under budget.

I've got no idea how it compares to the planetx. But I've just got a Kona dew DL from CRC for 350 (actually 315 with BC code)
Cable discs, 1x9 , rack monuts (actually comes with a basket !) mudguards fitted already, had to flip the stem, maybe get new bars, bigger chainring but as a commuter its brilliant
