I have small glitter and a larger flake size (it's my children's honest) also a variety of other colours.

Have you got road tubes with removable valve cores , otherwise you have no chance to get it in . Even less chance of getting a duck or Goose in .

Red glitter works- it might fade over time to be pink though and not sure if that'll affect its performance.
