I've just aquired some pikes with an unused poploc bar mounted actuator.
Now I'm not one for having extra things stuck to my bars, so don't want to attach it, but I still want to use the lock out.
However, looking at it I don't see how I can use it without the poploc lever?
Is that the case or am I being silly?
Please enlighten me....

You can't lock the forks without using the lever. You'll need to modify the motion control unit if you want to lock it out without the lever. Peterpoddy did a great guide of how to convert it to the non-remote version....I do have it in PDF format...I think he'd be ok if I forwarded to you if you want it

or you can try and do a swap on the classifieds of your MoCo unit with somebody who wants remote lockout

Yeah, it's easily possible. You do need a £20 part to make it neat but you'll sell the lever to cover that easily I'd imagine

If Nuke hasn't passed on my guide, email me and I'll send it to you.

🙂

ooo, can i have a copy of that too please?

I've had a poploc lever for a month now and haven't used it once so i am also considering whether it is necessary.
