A few months ago random bikes started appering in the gardens of our block of flats.
Initially it was just a lidl special £99 job. Blue in colour and leant up against a fence and hasn't moved since. The next one a FS yellow machine got tucked away behing the bins. Again cheap rubbish.
This morning we have a new steed, our resident theif appears to have gone retro with a chrome steel Sunn MTB.

Question is what to do? The flats are starting to look like the bottom of a canal, all we need is a shopping trolley or two.
My guess is that it is someone who lives in our flats and can't be arsed walking home from the station. Should I tell the police and hopefully they will come and remove them?

Put a lock around them all and see who complains.

If they're nicked, another lock won't make much difference.

Ask everyone in the flats if they're theres
Assume lots of people have lost their cars and need a bike
ignore it
set up CCTV

Possibly a resident, having a few beers then, quite literally, taking the nearest ride home......?
