Tentatively calling anyone who fancies a few hours daylight riding on Sunday, hoping the weather’s reasonable. Route to be fully decided, depending on soggy-ness, but certainly hopeful to finish on Byreside (i.e. expect a little hikey-bikey) so probably an anti-clockwise loop with usual up-hillness, and retire back to man-cave for a brief cake-session (in Bonaly)… Meet at the Scout Camp gate for 10.30?

(+ xtra justification – ‘tis my birthday 😉 , and a certain PaulG’s as well, if I remember right….)

ha ha, when reading this I remembered it was your birthday too! 😀

I shall more than likely be recovering from the night before. If I have the worst pre birthday night out ever, i'll see you Sunday morning ...doubt it though.

enjoy!

Young 'uns today, only interested in their own foul depraved entertainments.... grumble, grumble, rhubarb, erse, fek, millennium hand and shrimp etc.

(i.e. I took Monday off, out Sunday night 🙂 )

Got a works leaving doo up In toon on Saturday , so the chances of me hiking a bike are probably pretty slim . More likely to be "Driving the porcelain truck" on Sunday than riding my bike. Still have a great Birthday Rob .

P.S. Where's Byreside. ?

May join ye Rob - been solo parenting all week and it's put years on me. Missus is back tomorrow, thank God, so a Pentlands ride would be just the thing.

As per post 1 Teej - gather for tribal chanting at that round stone thing by Pukes' bottom gate around 10.30, couple of routes in mind depending on weather / nos., 3 / 4 hours riding time, hot drinkies & soft sugary treats in Bonaly, courtesy moi, upon return.

It's all good 8)

Thanks to those who came along - wish the weather had been a little more on our side, but I think we made a good fist of it. As usual, actions above & beyond - TJ+Julie conquering some challenging climbs, Coastkid for keeping the legs pumping after a weekend of many miles, Garry_Lager for generally keeping a sense of humour on the heavy bike...

That looks like 'proper' fun.

Love the vid -

"Shit can't stop"
"You'll be ok, just roll"

Sage advice Sir 😆

Love it up the Pentlands, been up there a few times.
I usually start at Harlaw, go up and over to The Flotterstone, beer, then back via Glencorse and Loganlea, over the black hill to Harlaw again. Greatfun. 😀

Thanks for taking the time to produce these Bruce - considering I'm not likely to do much group riding next year, it's good to know the highlights will always be on later 😉
