Morning STWs!

Staying in peebles soon and looking for a couple of rides to do. Would anyone mind taking a look at this link. It's the 3 brethren and gypsey glen routes we are interested in. Do they look like good routes?
Cheers!

Hi NBS1, both good choices, slightly different routes than I do. When are u coming up ? Here is a link for http://tweedlove.com/. Gypsy Glen is a classic but can be extended over the other side of the valley. Tweedlove's past natural tweed routes are also good choices, am a tad busy to find them at the moment but am sure someone else will help. Have fun

Thanks. We are coming up a week on Wednesday. Just tried to find gpxs for past natural tweed routes but no joy at present

That's my ride ๐Ÿ™‚ We did this while scouting out a loop that incorporated Gypsy Glen. There are a couple of problems with it...

1. The climb up to Gypsy Glen - we decided to go straight up the hill rather than follow the track. Wasn't a good move. Big push up. Don't do that.
2. The climb up out of Glentress - we were looking for a track but missed it, so it turned into an off-piste slog fest up the hill until we cleared the trees.

You have been warned!

I have done the GT-Lee Penn-Inners-Gypsy Glen a couple of times. I wouldn't bother with it if you are coming up for a short visit as the slog from GT to Lee Penn is nice but nothing special. Gypsy Glen is a great ride, several variations on how you get to it from Cardrona Forest as well.

The link from the Boundary onto the Lee Penn climb is not obvious at all unless you get shown it!

Sorry I don't have a gpx of the ride, it was preStrava for me.

http://www.strava.com/activities/19134192 That might work.

To be honest, if I was visiting the valley for a few days I'd be looking out one of the old merida marathon routes.
