Pedal on Parliament is gathering cyclists from across Scotland to cycle on Holyrood to tell the politicians that cycling matters, to show our need for safer cycling and cities fit for people.
The mass ride is taking place on Saturday 28th April, and PoP would like to encourage as many cyclists as possible to join in and help make a Scotland fit for cycling.

The event has been endorsed by Sir Chris Hoy, and the family of Andrew McNicoll, who was killed while cycling in Edinburgh earlier this year.

I only found out about this a few days ago, so I'm not sure exactly how it is going to be organised.
I assume they want to try and get a bit of a presence by gathering for a while before riding down, and there was some mention of a picnic in the Meadows. I'm planning to join the ride, and I hope there is a good turnout. We need some public pressure to get cycling taken seriously.
Worth keeping an eye on the website and Twitter for more details.

Looking forward to this. I'll be on the feeder ride from Harrison Park.

Hoping it's all done and dusted in time to get to the pub for Edinburgh v Ulster at 1745 though.

Going to be there, and hoping there will be a good turnout. Come along if you are free on Saturday afternoon in Edinburgh.

If anyone from here is there then say hello. I'm going to be there on a ridiculous looking blue polo bike with mallet.
