Right then how do we do it? How do you get shortlisted for sports personality of the year? If we get everyone to vote including freinds family pets etc he might not win it but it might get enough interest to get him the recognition he deserves! What do you think?

The BBC canvas a load of newspaper, magazine & TV sports journos etc. & come up with a short-list

Hate how they rarely show how tough riding is on tv. is that really the best bit of wharncliffe they could show? its put me off riding there!
ha awesome don't matter how easy it is always love watching peaty ride, is the chopper the one warner was saying landed in fort william paddock or something along them lines that was classic warner story.
I don't know about SPOTY fans count it as the biggest prize going but really its just a shit cup, still if you want me to autograph any petitions i will.
Time to accept the cycling, regardless of the format is a minority sport. I would imagine that cycling will get mentioned at SPOTY, with Wiggo and Cav's sterling efforts in the Tour. It could well be that Peaty gets an honorary mention as well, as he should.
Lets be honest, they ignored Foggy for years with his success on the motor bikes Peaty isn't even going to register! If it was bowls or croquet he might be in with a sniff.
