Jamie - aren't you based in Peterboghorror......? If I end up coming along, we could always sort out some kind of lift share type thing....? I'm just north of Peterborough.....

Moving house on the 11th - should be free on the weekend of the 19th though, unless the parents want to see the new house or something....

Just re-read through what I posted and it comes across a bit churlish. So apologies about that and thanks for those putting the effort in to organise this pootle. 8)

Don't be daft Jamie it would be a peaks pootle thread without someone making outrageous demands. Keeps chris/jules on their toes 😉

I can't be bothered riding the mile and a half down to the start, so you must all ride up to my house and push me back down to the Lay-by.

There's an example Jamie. 😉

Oh don't be fooled. I am merely getting everyone softened up for the rider I will be posting to the thread.

Here is a taster:

1) Tangfastics Harribos will be provided for my delectation.

2) Said Tangfastics must only be the cola bottles.

3) Any pub we stop at must serve Guinness.

4) If I turn up with no gloves like last time, then a pair of gloves will be provided for me.

5) Anyone fitter than me will have a rocks put in their camelbak/dakine.

.....there will be more.

Ahh yes, that too. Full english but no mushrooms, eggs easy over please. Don't be silly Jamie, you may only have one glove as we have come to expect you to bring just the one.

No problem, Jamie but in a similar vein to your 'demands' I'd appreciate it it u'd book & pay for a cab to take me & drop me off. Preferably an estate... 😀

Thanks in advance.

No Jamie, I have booked it for myself, and you can all hire it out for £1,000,000 per mile of riding.

Ok. Will leave the payment, in 1p coins naturally, in the usual place for Chopper Dave to come and get it.

Yep, Dave try to steal my diamonds, if he had asked he could have had a handful, but he had to go. Chives is very well behaved so far though.

That's what you get for sacking Chopper Dave. Diamond diddler or not, he kept Pook informed.

You know who was trained in the dark arts of the inner workings of mobile phones?

.....Yup.

Chopper Dave.

My friend farmer Lucy owns some of the land we'll be riding through. I'll call her and have her remove all other mtbers/redsox/sheep/low flying geese etc for the day, then the fast boys can barrel those descents.
Who's chopper Dave?

Sambob - I think the 'Shady Oak' is a good call for the post ride pub stop, shame you'll have to stay outside 😉

Who's chopper Dave?

Sambob's ex-penny collecting, machine gun owning, helicopter pilot who stole his diamonds.

Tandem test rides can be arranged, but it'll be a short spin as Jane won't fit on most other people's bikes. Longer test rides available fro NBT Towers by arrangement, of course

I am very tempted by this. Slight problem is I'm having 2 toenails removed on the 9th so not sure if I will be ok to ride by then. How far in miles is it going to be?

The route i made up on Tracklogs was less than 15 miles, not sure of the definite route though. So not too long.

Sandwich, not sure it merits a trip from Ipswich just for this ride, if you;re coming up anyway then fair enough but it's a long way for this one thing!
