Aye, brilliant and very friendly ride. Thanks to Pook for organising, and apologies to those I never spoke too. Hope the Pub was good!

I was thinking if I could get away with another curry night then realised my front wheel was against the first square-edged rock. My first ever dab on the Beast ๐Ÿ˜€

Let me know your thoughts on the ST24

Can't believe I missed out on it. I eventually got my brother to get up and we got over there and tried to follow the route but got properly confused. We ended up doing a rubbish ride around the reservoir and then up to hagg side. Seemed to be uphill all the way ๐Ÿ™
Anyone got a map of the route you took? Were there any cheeky bits to get to hope cross?

Finally all sorted after driving back. Sat Nav had a nervous breakdown and took us back through Chesterfield which was nice.

Anyways, cracking day out and nice to put some names to faces. Bit weird as I don't actually know who was there off here. When the group pic goes up Pook will have to put who was who.

...Well apart from Hora. He was everything I had wished for and more

Yours Sincerely.

Who did i lend my gloves to?

Me. Will wash them and mail them to you if you like?

Ooh, just looked at Chris's link, did you find a route through from the foot of Beast to Rowlee Farm climb (must be easier than climbing Hagg Farm)?
Is it this bit?

Is it worth riding in preference to straight up Hagg Farm?
Cheers

Nobody has mentioned the embarrassment of us all getting split up and (sort of) lost within 3 minutes of setting off ๐Ÿ˜ณ

I think we are going to just pretend that never happened ๐Ÿ˜‰

It could have remained quiet... I don't think we were lost, just some slight confusion over route choice ๐Ÿ˜‰

Thanks pook. ๐Ÿ™‚

Will I was worried I'd sent you to the wrong pub!

PP - Yeh at Tom said it's just above the beast as you drop down from Hope Cross, very fast this section!

I'm just about to find that thread to post the picture in ๐Ÿ™‚

Right pub Hora, had to drop my GF's car keys off, which she had kindly left in my car... ๐Ÿ™„

Stu appears to have fitted a beast-taming lens on his headcam. Looks pretty tame in that vid ๐Ÿ™

Yeah, looks like some sneaky sod went down after him and left a load more massive rocks and stuff lying about before my turn! It was definitely much gnarlier when I came down it...

I think he was going pretty slow as it was his first time down The Beast, but it does flatten out quite a bit on the vid for some reason.

It was also my first time down and my memories are it was a little bit bumpier than it appears above.....

I reckon with some better forks you'd not even notice those square-edged rocks ๐Ÿ˜‰

I still think it was a ploy so you could naff off to the pub early to get some food.

....the hob-nobs were merely a starter ๐Ÿ˜‰

Anyways....bermy bit. Dunno the name:

Plus he was cheating by riding on the bank at the side!!
