Staying just north of Ashbourne for a few days next week and fancy a day out gravel riding. Not feeling peak fitness so will probably leave the mtb at home.
Can anyone recommend a decent route? Will have the van so flexible on start point but would like a circular route.

I did this route a year or so ago with robbo, slowpuncheur & oopnorth on gravel bikes - although I think at the time I was on my rigid Inbred.

I was in Castleton last week & it was pretty soggy out & about, so might be pretty wet in places.

Ashbourne has plenty of good stuff on the doorstep. Tissington Trail, Manifold Way, Carsington Water, High Peak Trail all in easy reach.
Not particularly Gnar but this weekend I did a big figure of 8 with very little road. Staying in Waterhouses, I rode back lanes to Ashbourne, up the Tissington Trail to High Peak Trail, minor roads from Parsley Hay towards Bakewell to pick up Monsal Dale trail, leave that at Millers Dale, onto Limestone Way then Pennine Way, back onto High Peak Trail, off onto minor roads and tracks to Hartingdon/Hulme End then Manifold trail back to Waterhouses. Like I said, not very Gnar but a very weatherproof 90km with 1100m of climbing with plenty of opportunity for coffee stop if you want to.

I have a big circular (on GPX) that may or may not interest you. I live in Darley Dale, but you can join it anywhere (even add in the Tissington Trail as an out and back leg if you want an epic)
There is a bit of road from Matlock to Cromford, but it takes in the full length of the High Peak Trail, a bit of the PBW, the full length of the Monsal Trail, Bakewell, some gravel out of Bakewell and a return to Darley Dale. 43 miles as it stands - I did it on my 180mm ebike
@TheArtistFormerlyKnownAsSTR I would be interested in the GPX of a route based around Darley Dale if that were possible.
