It does take about 3 days to clear and come out of your account.
Unless it's done via an e-cheque, which can take many days.
If you've paid, then it'll come out of your account eventually.
They use direct debits to take the funds, which take a minimum of 3 days to process.
The other possibility is the seller listed an email address for payment that he/she hasn't got a Paypal account for and they will need to register and claim the money.
I use paypal a fair bit to buy stuff (linked to my bank account), the last few times it's taken a good week for the money to come out my account. No way will they have 'forgotten' 😉
