Am meant to be there this weekend - trails are either going to be hiked with crampons / axe or biked IF clear of ice... am more concerned with getting there off the m6 - particularly the road round ullswater..
can anyone provide any info?

I think Kirkstone Pass is open now so the Ullswater road should all be ok.

Roads will be fine, it's due to warm up.
