[#692921]

Need some new bushing. They have 3 different components.
1. Tubes with a thread each end : http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Models.aspx?ModelID=21374

2. The sleeve that fits on the shock which looks like it comes with 1.

3. The top hat bits that the bushing fits into. Look a bit like this but a different size. http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Models.aspx?ModelID=21375

Rang up Orange and they said that they use 3 lengths of bushing 29, 31, 33. I think mine is 29 which CRC does not have. Any idea where I can get them from and will I need to replace number3 as well?

You need a bushing to fit in the shock and the reducer hardware to fit your specific frame. 'Strong' reducer harware (like 1) is better than 'top hat' reducer hardware (like 3) - name says it all. For a Patriot (2005 onwards anyway) you need 22mm hardware with a 8.1mm hole.

BETD is a good source:

I got 12 months out of the shock bush and reducer hardware at the swingarm end of the shock on my old Patriot and never had to replace the stuff at the front triangle end.

This also works - I found it lasted a similar time and should be plusher:

Hope that helps?

Yes. There's also the bush that fits into the shock that the reducer fits through. BETD include the bush when you but the reducer hardware.

Cool. Thanks for that. So I will only buy the Strong bush then.
