Back in September, when there was still more dust than puddles on the trails and before storm Arwen ripped through, we had 9 crazy days riding around Golfie, Pitmedden, Ballo, Pitlochry, Aberfeldy, Drumtochty, Glentress and back to Golfie. The sun shone, the rain fell, the BBQ's got a hammering and the beers flowed. It was as good as it gets in the UK.

Every time I get up there it makes me want to move.  New trail locations seem to be popping up all the time. We got chatting with the private landowner of where the trails are built in Aberfeldy who was a top bloke with such a passion for biking and supporting the community. I get the impression big things are to come in Aberfeldy.
I hope those places recover quickly from any storm damage and it hasn't done too much to deter efforts in the up and coming places.

Anyway, if you'd like to see some of the action for yourselves, here's a short, quick fire mash up of some of the best action from the trip. Hope you enjoy it if you watch.

I'm so jealous of those of you so close to the Tweed Valley and beyond.

I’m not sure if that link worked or not?

Enjoyed that a lot :o) It would make an excellent showreel for some of the riding that can be had in Scotland & you're only just scratching the surface.

Thanks very much, Dave. I'm glad you enjoyed it. Oh for sure - there's so much there to hit that even nine days will only give you a tiny taste for it.

Cheers guys. Haha yeah, all the woops - I get quite excited!

Some mates spent a few weeks riding off-piste in Wales this summer and said it was good. It'll take a lot to tempt me away from Scotland though.

Thought that was a great wee video, though did think it looked more like a trailer than anything else and it would have been good to see more of the places - then noticed the full shebang video, and watched that, looks a proper good mtb trip and all the whoops made it look like you had a great time. Made me wanna do something like that next year, thanks flimbo, great inspiration

Ah, you found and watched the full video, Aide? I'm glad you enjoyed it. A few of us had a similar trip last September and hit some different places both times. There's loads to get at - make it happen!

Thats a great little video and a has a lot of familiar trails. Seems like a lifetime away considering the forests are closed and the weather is shite. Well made though.
