I need to remove some paint from the threads of the BB shell (frame been resprayed). What paint remover is safe to use - Nitromors etc? Or are there alternative ways to get paint off? Clearly concerned not to damage thread.
thanks for advice.

I scraped it out with a pick (dentist's pick) then cleaned out what was left with my homemade BB thread cleaner (an old BB with a load of cuts across the thread, like a tap). Nitromors should do it but I know myself, I'd end up melting the good paint.

Had the same issue myself, recently.
Fixed it using a dremel with a wire brush attachment and a steady hand.
