The tidy looking pace 29er is getting to production, looks quite appealing, nice 853 tubes and a nice price, i'm tempted over the carbon frames coming through

I reckon it looks fantastic and would love one depending on price.

I'm sure there was a post a few weeks ago though about this bike and folks didn't seem to keen on it 🙁

Looks nice to me... I think there's a bit of bitterness out there for Pace, due to their (reputedly) poor handling of a spate of cracked RC305's?

My 12 year old RC200 is still going strong, but I had heard a few stories about warranty issues. I don't know anyone personally though, so it might just be BS on forums.

I've always found Pace to be helpful, although you are better calling rather than e-mailing.

I'd love one of the new Pace 29er's as a complete bike with the one piece stem and bar 8)

Not too sure on the Morris white colour though, I'd like one in bright red; but that doesn't seem to be an option 🙁

Not fan of the 'retro' look but geometry looks spot on. 😀

Check out what warranty it has as when I went through the cracked frame scenario it was only 2 years on all pace frames .

no its no BS they are not good when something breaks

and yes I am bitter

The warranty on the 104 is 2 years, so I'd imagine this new 29er will be the same.

Straight from their site:

Your RC104 comes with a full 2 year warranty which covers any defect in manufacture or materials. This applies to you the original owner. However we also provide a Pace ‘Crash Replacement’ scheme during the frames 3 and 4 year where a replacement frame will be offered at a full 50% discount! (from SRP). Again this only applies to the original owner and the original purchase receipt must be provided with any claim.

I think it looks lovely. Arguably better value than the giant anthem 29er!

I thought I was looking at a 1987 catalogue when I followed the link!

Looks just like my first MTB, an'89 Saracen, except for the discs and flesh colour paint (still have it too!)

It looks great but not too sure about the cable routing.

Looks like bog standard steely with "typical" geometry, will the 853 label make any perceived difference over something better value and prettier like a swift? It depends how much you want a pace logo on your frame really. There are certainly much nicer looking and more "interesting2 steel 29 singlespeeds out there for a similar or better price

That looks awesome. Add it to the growing list off stuff I want to buy but cannot afford 🙁

looks ok, but nothing to raise it above similar steel frames and given Pace's legendary after sales "service" i wouldn't give them a penny of my money for it

Sent a short e mail to Pace about this frame ages ago, got no response. Bought a ti 29er from On One instead and will not be buying owt from the Pace CBA brand in the future.
