Hi,

Apologies for this but I am running out of options, and hair to pull out of my head.

It is now going on to the 5th day I have been promised collection of a bike I sold. Despite online help, many phonecalls to the depot, assurances from the driver that he is "around the corner" nobody has arrived.

I am at the end of my tether and have took to facebook and twitter to vent.

If you are bored and have a spare minute, please go to

https://twitter.com/parcelforce?ref_src=twsrc%5Egoogle%7Ctwcamp%5Eserp%7Ctwgr%5Eauthor

And ask why they won't collect from me! (tracking NG9109107 )

I had a similar problem with Yodel, 3 days running they did not collect a frame I’d sold, there website said no one at home. Send via Parcelforce 48 at the Post Office and it arrived next day

Mine was Hermes. It sat at the Co-op for 3 days before I was told the parcel was "too big" despite them taking the booking and my money. When I collected the box the lad at the shop said it was too big to fit on the van the driver turned up with the previous day but he'd be back tomorrow when he'd have more space. I took it to Parcelforce, no problems..and I still haven't had my money back

Sent a frame via parcelforce 48 last Thursday during snowy season and it was delivered the very next day ☺️

I, unfortunately, cannot buy from anyone that uses Parcelforce.

It is a 90 minute, heavy traffic return journey to collect the parcel that they refuse to leave with a neighbour. After telling them I'm not in between 9 - 5 they give me a redelivery option, for £5, to deliver again between 9 - 5 ...

Neither will they leave it at the P.O. collection depot at the end of my street.

I've declined many a bargain when the seller uses Parcelfarce.

I use PF loads and they're pretty much spot on. I bought a frame last week and I forgot to ask the seller not to use Herpes or Yodhell but fortunately he used PF. It was posted on Friday last week and it arrived on Tuesday. I use them for all our big/expensive stuff but make sure to pay the protection money as well when stuff's worth a few hundred quid, although I do choose to drop stuff off at the post office rather than have them collect it.

So you order stuff and you're not in at prime parcel delivery times and somehow it's the parcel companies fault!?

Company in 'normal working day hours' shocker.

Agreed DezB, it's the fact that they will not leave it with a neighbour when all other delivery companies will. She sits at her window, people watching, then catches the PF guy but gets "can't leave it with you", seems a bit naff.

can't you just adress it to your next door neighbour?

Been having the same problem, at present I can unspderstand that they had 3 days backlog from last week but sadly the service is no worse than Saul. Being in Northern Ireland and usuallly sending stuff to England any of the other couriers are 2 or 3times the price.

Never had an issue with PF collections, but thats possibly because I used a large office building as the collection address.

shushuwheels - is you house difficult to find? Can you drop it off at a suitable post office?

due to the snow there is a back log which means collections have taken a back seat over del get over it unless its a kidney or any other life saving eq chill

as for the above comment why not do as the person who uses his brain use your neighbour as the del address ,intelligence is earned common sense your either born with it or without .

Chomp, I once asked her but she did not want another name being associated with her address. It transpires that she has issues with paranoia, but collects my Yodel and Hermes deliveries no bother 😀

So have it addressed to her then ?

Not the most difficult problem to solve is it 👍

It’s not a problem I need to solve Neal, I was just replying to the OP. I just found it strange that Royal Mail are great but their PF branch weren’t. For me.

A bit like BT and Plusnet.

What works for some ... 😀

Funnily enough I had my first let down by Parcel Force yesterday. Arranged for a package to be picked up, my only day off so waited all day and no one arrived.

Ended up taking it to the post office for collection on my lunch today.
